If the church of St Eustache has such a good universal reputation it is not only due to
its splendid architecture, but also to its musical tradition. Many occasions come to mind,
such as the wedding of Lulli in 1662. Rameau gave his last organ recital in St Eustache
and it is said that never had he been so inspired. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s mother’s
funeral was celebrated in the church in 1778. In 1855 Berlioz conducted the
first performance of his Te Deum accompanied by 950 musicians and in 1868 and 1886.
Liszt conducted the repetitions and assisted at the audition of his Gran Mass.
For this concert, Vincent Grosnier (organ) and Philippe Grauvogel (oboe) will perform
great pieces of music from major composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, Liszt.

right bank with a turn around the Statue of Liberty. Le Paquebot is an immense floating palace
covering 700 sq.m. and offers perfect views of Paris and its beautiful monuments. It exudes an
aura of the golden age when transatlantic liners vied with each other in terms of luxury and
savoir-vivre. The spirit of Le Normandie can still be felt on its monumental stairways; the soul
of the Queen Mary is present in the 86 metre long dining room; souvenirs from Le France are
everywhere on the triple deck, the ships rail, the launches, the imposing chimneys. Here is the
